Bulk Systems, Inc. represents over 40 years experience in liquid and powder handling containers and container systems. We have found over the years that many of our customers were interested in getting containers fast so they could ship product out to their customers as quickly as possible. Therefore, the decision was made to stock a large representative stock of various types and brands of IBC's for these people. Today, Bulk Systems, Inc. has hundreds of units on hand for immediate shipment. Schutz Ecobulk IBC's The ECOBULK IBC is a medium duty shipping container. It uses a "blow molded" polyethylene tank inside of a tubular steel frame for stacking. This is the most popular design used in the World today and, Schutz is the inventor and originator. The Schutz ECOBULK IBC'S are made in four plants within the United States and several other plants throughout the World, including Mexico. Independent testing labs have verified the fact that the Schutz container design is, by far, the most durable on the market today. When put through drop, drag, pressure and vibration testing against any of their competition the Schutz IBC's always come out on top. Bulk Systems, Inc. has been appointed the exclusive stocking distributor for Schutz Container Systems in the Midwest and keeps an extensive stock of their containers on hand at all times. These different types are in stock for small and medium quantity releases from our warehouse. Truckload orders of 46 or more units and other models are shipped from one of the Schutz factories.
IBC BROCHURE Metal liquid IBC's There are several advantages to using Metal IBC'S. Life expectancy can be decades. The NFPA and UN/DOT allow handling and shipping of flammable liquids in them and, they are able to absorb significant abuse while remaining functional. Because of their long life expectancy, many leasing companies are familiar with them and, multi year leases are available. A 60 month lease is common in the industry and, they are often re-leased when the original term has expired. Often leases will run their term and the units can be purchased. Rental plans, which don't lead to eventual ownership are also available. On a per gallon cost basis it can be significantly less expensive to lease or rent a metal IBC than it would be to use an equivalent number of plastic drums or plastic IBC's once and, then dispose of them. Sometimes it is helpful to get leasing or renting pricing and use those numbers to financially justify your project, realizing that the costs would be less if you purchased them outright. If you plan works out with a lease you can be sure that it will with a outright purchase. Hidden costs in using metal IBC vs. a disposable one are return freight and, cost of cleaning, if necessary. There are some smaller costs like occasionally gaskets or repairing. An EPDM gasket, for instance cost about $3.00ea and you may want to replace it with each use although if you don't remove the cover it may not need to be replaced. Good potential uses for metal IBC's are solvents foods, pharmaceuticals, oils and chemicals. Inventory is kept at our facility in Round Lake Beach, IL 60073 or we can
ship from our plant in Nebraska. We currently stock 350 & 550 gallon capacity,
304 stainless steel tanks in both locations and 350 & 550 gallon capacity,
carton steel tanks are inventoried in Nebraska.
