The HG-160 "Hammer Guard" is our newest product. We have found that the spikes in water pressure can occasionally drive the pressure in the water lines up to a point where it damages equipment. The HG-160 is designed to absorb shocks of up to 160psi.

When a pressure spike occurs the piston inside of the clear schedule 80 PVC tube works exactly as a shock absorber does by moving upward and compressing the air above it. This protects equipment along the water line from damage.

The gauge included with the HG-160 "Hammer Guard" shows what the water pressure in the water line is at any given moment on a continual basis. To help trouble shoot problems, it is also equipped with a "tattletale" hand which remains at the highest pressure experienced in the line. Because it is not exposed to the water and can not be damaged by it, the gauge lasts indefinitely.
